You can start anywhere, with anything, it always delivers the same result; here, "life" has been chosen as a starting point:
The problem
You are a living being.
You must physically and chemically work to stay alive (a process called metabolism).
This 'work' process must enable you to access more resources than were used up in the work process itself, or you will die (starve or suffocate). This, among other things, follows from the second law of thermodynamics.
By that law, any physical, thermodynamic ('work') process must always use up more resources than it can generate, as there is always an irretrievable loss into the environment; its efficiency is always (and often very far!) below 100%.
Therefore no thermodynamic ('work') process can ever generate itself, or even sustain itself, let alone return a profit (there shall be no perpetuum mobile, no eternal movement; at least no thermodynamic eternal movement).
For one thing, this circumstance may be instrumental in creating the economic debt which collapses every (but solely every human!) economy in the end.
It also means that, whatever 'profit' or physical resource you may have extracted from your surroundings with your 'work', along with that economic debt (and its corresponding assets), this 'profit' had to physically already exist up front, only to be reaped by your 'work', since physical debt (less than nothing) - other than economic debt - is impossible to generate.
And finally this means that these physical resources you use to gain more, cannot themselves have been created by a primary thermodynamic ('work') process, which would in that case have to draw on resources beyond itself, and thus, in the end (or rather the beginning!), beyond the reaches of the universe.
This proposes that the universe will come to a final standstill, once all its resources have been used up (the dreaded 'heat death').
Without specifying where and how these resources were physically created in the first place.
The solution
The one internal (!) force in the universe that will spontaneously generate resources to enable, kick off and sustain the (vital or non-vital) thermodynamic work processes, as described above, is gravity, a non-thermodynamic (no conservation of energy, nor finally of mass in the resulting thermonuclear process!), primary, self-augmenting force and unchangeable property of matter accelerating itself.
It has done so since the beginning of time, it is doing so now, and it will continue to do so to the end of time, thereby spawning life in the universe, at every place and any time where and when this is possible (it does not pick and choose; no place with matter is without gravity).
Its effect is ubiquitous, eternal (at least for the duration of the universe), omnipotent (in the sense that it creates everything but matter itself), and is contrary (or rather complementary) to the thermodynamic process in every aspect.
It is the primary 'up-ahead' source of all profit, which is then reaped in the secondary thermodynamic process - which it thereby allows to exist.
The cosmos is therefore shaped by two complementary systems: the primary gravitational one and the secondary thermodynamic one.
End of the serious part
Enter the fun part:
As a result (not a prerequisition), the man-made formula for entropy - a property of systems which increases during a thermodynamic process, which is sometimes referred to as "disorder" (therefore, by that token, calling for gravity to 'decrease disorder' and thus 'increase order', in light of the above) - comes under scrutiny.
Originally stated, some 150 years ago, as Entropy S=Q/T or Energy Content by Temperature in J/K, it sports a potential independent zero at T=0, which may be mathematically possible, but prohibits Entropy S to reach 0 at T=0, where it should be physically according to some proposals; in fact, it is furthest from 0 at T->0, and cannot ever truly be 0, as any T>0 enforces Q>0, thereby prohibiting Q=0 at any T>0; S can only reach 0 at Q=0 and T=0, which is rather useless.
It is therefore hereby proposed that the formula for entropy be redefined (or rather inverted) as S=T/Q, thus easily enabling S=0 at T=0 (and so much more), in reminder of the Galileian inversion of the formula for speed or velocity to v=d/t, from the instinctive v=t/d probably used for millennia ("how much time will it take to cover that known distance"); which solved the mathematical problem of physical immobility at d=0, and mathematically prohibits the physical impossibility of t=0.
It should also be remembered in this context that there can be no such thing as the popular "negative entropy", as neither energy content nor temperature can reach true negative values, i.e. fall below absolute zero, again to be physically less than nothing.
What is meant by "negative entropy" is reduced entropy, a condition impossible to achieve through thermodynamics; but, by that same token, a natural, physical result of the workings of gravity.
Ta-da.
Gravity reduces entropy, the formula of which may have to be inverted; not to change physical reality, but the description of it.
